MEET BRIAN, OUR MASTER BEEKEEPER
Mānuka Health’s collective of beekeepers are caretakers of both airborne artisans and pristine land. Nurturing by nature, they work tirelessly to protect the inhabitants of our 21,000 hives – all led by Master Beekeeper, Brian McCall.
Shortly after graduating high school in Canada, a friend connected Brian with the world of beekeeping. Over 20 years later, he remains there still. Rising steadily through the ultra-competitive industry, thanks to his close-held values of curiosity, integrity and lifelong learning.
In his role as National Apiculture Manager, Brian acts as a mentor and guide for our collective of beekeepers and landowners. He also co-leads a research and development division, dedicated to harnessing the latest in technology, genetics, nutrition and more, to gain the very most out of our hives. Generously sharing his wide pool of expertise and deep well of knowledge, Brian aims to leave a lasting legacy on the beekeeping industry. Encouraging beekeepers everywhere to work in collective harmony, just like the bees within the hive.
